If you are someone who loves to explore, then this is the article that you need to read. In this article, we will tell you the story of the Triund trek, which was experienced by three IT guys. This is the story that includes loads of adventure and also a one-of-a-kind experience to experience this boys’ trip. Keep reading the article till the end to decode this story.

Where the road trip began

Saturday morning, 5 AM. The city still slept under the misty sky when the three friends — Amit, Rahul, and Saurabh — loaded their bags into Naveen’s Maruti Ertiga. Naveen wasn’t just their driver; he was part-guide, part-comedian, and full of road trip wisdom. He knew every dhaba worth stopping for and every shortcut that saved a few precious minutes.

The highway that they were taking from Gurgaon to Dharmashala felt completely endless ,and every turn brought them some of the new experiences and adventures. Their playlist switched from bollywood hits to some of the soft pahadi songs, keeping the excitement of the trek much alive. At breakfast, they stopped at a small roadside dhaba near Ambala. Hot parathas, fresh curd, and steaming chai fueled their enthusiasm.

After almost 11 hours of driving, in the evening, they finally found their road towards the mountains, and they also caught the first glimpses of the Dhauladhar Range against the golden sunset, which made every kilometer worth it.

Decoding their stay at the Hostel Thrillomania, McLeodganj

Their stay was, needless to mention, one of those that completely blew their mind. Right from the moment they entered, they knew they’d found the perfect place. The lobby had warm lights, colorful murals of mountain landscapes, and a few travelers chatting over tea.

The best part of this stay is that the price was quite low. Just ₹300 per bed — clean rooms, soft beds, and a view of the mountains from the window. The staff was equally friendly, always ready with travel tips, tea refills, and stories from their own treks.  They ate thukpa at a small café, then returned to the hostel terrace to sit under the starlit sky. For the first time in months, they weren’t thinking about emails or deadlines.

The big day- the Triund trip begins

The Triund Trek starts from Bhagsu village, winding through oak and rhododendron forests. The first stretch was easy — laughter, selfies, and frequent breaks to admire the view. But as they climbed higher, the trail grew steeper. The office life had made them soft, and every step reminded them how much stamina they’d lost sitting in chairs all day.  Rajesh Ji introduced them to their local guide, arranged through Thrillomania Adventure, who would lead them safely to the top.

Halfway through, they stopped at Magic View Café, one of the oldest tea stalls on the trek. Over steaming cups of lemon tea, they gazed at the valley below — Dharamshala looked like a toy town from that height.

As the sun dipped behind the mountains, the sky turned into a painting — orange fading into pink, pink into purple. The three friends sat around the bonfire, wrapped in blankets, talking about life, dreams, and how small their worries felt compared to these giant peaks.

Later that night, the temperature dropped, but the stars kept them company. The Milky Way shimmered above them, and for the first time in years, they felt truly alive. One of them whispered, “We should do this every year.” The others nodded, lost in the silence of the mountains.

Decoding the sunrise at the Triund trip

The guide woke them up before dawn. “Don’t miss the sunrise,” he said. Shivering in the cold, they stepped out of their tents, and what they saw next would stay in their hearts forever. The first rays of the sun touched the Dhauladhar snow peaks, painting them gold. Slowly, light spread across the valley, awakening the world below.

After breakfast, they started their descent — easier but bittersweet.

Conclusion

The triund trek booking is more than just the sunrise, hotels, and the food. That’s all, folks. I hope the article will help you to get all the information you need.
