The RTX 4070 of course took it much further, yet in truth, the difference at these resolutions was not night and day. Here is where the RTX 4060 vs 4070 began to lose ground. On the RTX 4060, some settings in both Cyberpunk 2077 and Hogwarts Legacy needed to be adjusted to maintain frame rates over 60. With the RTX 4070, I was comfortably recording 90-100 FPS with high settings without much compromise. Being a person who enjoys cinematic, story-driven games, the 4070 certainly impressed me more in this regard.
Ray Tracing and DLSS: RTX 4060 vs 4070
My question was whether RTX 4060 would be able to support ray tracing as compared to the 4070. When DLSS was on, the 4060 was capable of handling medium-ray traced scenes in the Minecraft RTX and Control, although there were frame dips. The 4070 was much smoother, however, ray tracing on high looked like it could be played. In case of interest in ray tracing, the 4070 certainly wins the day.
VR and Future-Proofing: RTX 4060 vs 4070
I also compared the RTX 4060 and 4070 on my VR system with Meta Quest 3. The RTX 4060 was able to play lighter VR titles, but not Half-Life: Alyx at high resolutions. The RTX 4070 proved much more stable and it made me believe I could use it a few years longer and have no doubt about future titles.

Nevertheless, I would still suggest the 4060 to anyone willing to have excellent 1080p gaming without having to spend a lot of money.
