Taylor Swift (2006)

Swift’s 2006 self-titled album is so cliché and generic that it would feel like AI. It has 11 total tracks, out of which nine are significantly about the same subject. The entire subject is pretty bland and sounds like any other female country track from the 21st century. Sorry for being too hard. Swift recorded it at the age of 15 and frankly, it exactly sounded like it. This made is one of the best Taylor swift songs album.

Lover (2019)

Lover experienced Taylor’s returning to the pop form that she mastered just four years before ‘1989’. The album also featured more matured pop songwriting from Swift. For example, The Archer and Soon You’ll Get Better are the blockbusters. Finally, ‘Lover’ feels like the grown-up version of ‘1989,’ considering the adversity it faced and the significance of sticking to the roots. Taylor seemingly saves her reputation with this album.

The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology (2024)

The Tortured Poets Department album was certainly a familiar and comfortable one. However, when it comes to discography, it shows a Taylor who has turned out to be creatively stale. The same old production and lyrical themes are present, and neither of them feels like offering anything new or engaging. However, TTPD is still a better option when it comes to the best Taylor Swift songs.

Reputation (2017)

‘Jumping the Shark’ could be the best phrase to define Reputation (2017). Three years after the great success of 1989, Swift entered the conventional pop, launching elements of hip-hop and EDM throughout the track listing. Taylor also adopted this new edge that ultimately comes off like force. Reputation offers little to write home about and only adds oil to the fire for the biggest critics.

1989 (Taylor’s Version)

Taylor Swift must thank Jack Antonoff and Max Martin for saving her career. 1989 (2014) represents a Taylor who has ended up reinventing herself while working on the awkward pop kinks. The album is full of catchy hooks after pairing with a dreamy sense inspired by the synth-pop movement. ‘Out of Woods’ shows Taylor finding her foot in pop, even after adding real substance to the genre.

Fearless (Taylor’s Version)

Fearless suggests a sophomore effort that hit maturity from a songwriting point of view, with slightly heavier emotional substance and hooks. Fearless also experienced Taylor sowing the pop-hit seeds that would fuel her career into what she is today.

Midnights (2022)

Midnights (2022) witnessed the lyrical highlights and fun hooks of Taylor. However, the album is a type of fade into the background of Swift’s discography. My favourite among the best Taylor Swift songs include Maroon, Labyrinth, and Sweet Nothing.

Evermore (2021)

There is little to talk about this album, and frankly, it is for good reason. It is the second surprise record resulting from her spontaneous collaboration with Aaron Dessner. However, it did not hit hard in 2024, but it is in 2025.

Red (2021)

Just when it seemed like Taylor would publish her most consistently strong country album, she took a different approach and explored the pop segment. Red is full of electronic elements and pop sensitivity. The best Taylor Swift songs in this album include State of Grace and The Last Time.

Folklore (2020)

Folklore contains the pop sensibility but focuses on a much more stripped-down sound. Taylor Swift trades heavy synths for light guitars, strings, and muted percussion. Hence, she ended up giving the album a laid-back and dreamy track. Check Spotify 2025 for all the best Taylor Swift songs.
