When you enter the Resume Worded website, it prompts you to upload your resume. I used an ATS-friendly resume, which helped me get many interviews and job offers. However, when I uploaded the resume, the tool was unable to find my experience section. This was because it could only read resumes that had very strict formatting.

I did not think the bullet point suggestions or analysis helped me at all. Their AI prompted me to write using bullet points. Although you can do this and it works well for some junior roles, choosing this path can make it problematic to tell an organized story of your achievements.
Resume Tailoring
Another feature of Resume Worded is tailoring a resume for a particular job. I tried this by uploading a job description that this resume had secured an interview to examine the quality.
When I compared my resume to the job description, the computer gave it a lower grade. My resume got an 80 out of 100 without a job description, but after I added the job (for which this resume got an interview), it dropped to a 45 out of 100.
I was amazed that this resume got an interview request within 48 hours of sending it to Shopify, along with at least 200 other applications. So I looked into why Resume Worded believed my resume was so bad.
I found out that my score was lower since I did not have enough keywords. I listed these because the job particularly requires expertise in making enablement content for e-learning, self-paced learning, instructor-led learning, and video microlearning.
The AI removed everything and sought to add multimedia and strategic efforts. “Strategic initiatives” does not make any sense on its own and is not clear at all. I was very let down.

Is Resume Worded Worth Considering?
I would not utilize Resume Worded based on what I have seen. I thought the whole thing was meant to convince me to buy their AI tool. It also sent a lot of spam. After I started using it, I got six emails in 24 hours trying to scare me into upgrading and buying their subscription product so I would not miss out on job possibilities.
