Microsoft is one of the biggest tech companies in the world that is best known for software products. The Cyber accelerator program of Microsoft aims to support the extension of newly emerged cyber oriented companies and growth of entrepreneurs and their start-ups in the field of cyber security. The main objective of Microsoft is to make UK a safe place to carry all the works online by helping these start-ups to bring advanced, cheaper and faster products in this particular field.
The 7th program of Cyber Accelerator program will continue from January to March 2021. The UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) will be partnering with Microsoft in this program to encourage the entrepreneurs who will participate in the program and their newly emerged start-ups. The start-ups that chose to participate in this program have to apply within 19th November 2020 to 3rd December 2020 and the participating start-ups will be chosen by an open competition organised by NCSC and the competition will be based on technical challenges that require cyber security knowledge.
Participating in the program will help the start-ups to get growth opportunities and access to GCHQ’s and NCSC’s expertise that will help them to develop their Cyber security products. Moreover, these start-ups can also get access to Microsoft’s Subject matter experts and accelerator alumni network. So it is expected that the collaboration of NCSC with Microsoft will give the Cyber Accelerator Program a super success and will provide great opportunities to the start-ups participating in the Program.
