KisMAC is a cyber-security tool that is used for wireless cybersecurity. This provides a large number of tools and gears that can be used by experienced cybersecurity professionals and it can be challenging for newbies to operate, compared to other tools designed for a similar purpose.
KisMAC scans passively the wireless network on supported Wi-Fi cards like Airport Extreme, Airport, and other third-party cards. It uses techniques like brute force and exploiting flaws like weak scheduling to crack the security of WPA and WEP keys. Successful cracking of the key denotes that the keys are not secure.
